Compliance Health Check: Disclaimer & Terms of Use

Last updated: 13 July 2026

This page sets out the terms on which Scandic Management Ltd ("Scandic," "we," "us," "our") makes the Compliance Health Check tool ("the Tool") available to you. Please read it before using the Tool. By ticking the acknowledgment box and proceeding, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accept these terms.

1. A free, courtesy service

The Tool is provided free of charge, as a courtesy to visitors of our website and on a goodwill basis. It does not form part of, and is not a substitute for, any paid engagement or contract for services with Scandic. Because it is offered gratuitously and not under any paid contract, you agree that the limitations set out below are reasonable in the circumstances.

2. Not professional advice

The Tool is provided for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute, and must not be relied upon as, legal, regulatory, financial, or compliance advice, and it is not a substitute for a formal compliance review, audit, or risk assessment carried out by a qualified professional. Using the Tool, or receiving any output from it, does not create an advisory, client, or other professional relationship between you and Scandic.

3. No guarantee of accuracy or completeness

Results are generated from the information you provide and, where applicable, from third-party public data sources, including sanctions lists maintained by the UK Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation, the European Union, and the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control. We do not control, verify, or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, currency, or continued availability of these third-party sources. Errors, omissions, delays, or corruption in that underlying data, or in the information you provide, may affect the Tool's output.

4. Provided "as is"

The Tool is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

5. Exclusion of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Scandic and its directors, employees, and agents accept no responsibility, and exclude all liability, for any loss, damage, cost, or expense (whether direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or otherwise) arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Tool, or your reliance on any result it produces, including where that loss arises from inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, or corrupted data, whether originating from our systems, your own input, or third-party sources.

6. Your responsibility

A "Low" risk result does not confirm or guarantee compliance with any law, regulation, or sanctions regime, and does not remove your own obligation to conduct appropriate due diligence. You remain solely responsible for your own compliance decisions and for independently verifying any information material to them.

7. Changes and availability

We may modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue the Tool, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice, and accept no liability for doing so.

8. What this disclaimer does not exclude

Nothing in this disclaimer excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

9. Your data

Details of how information you submit to the Tool is handled, and how long it is retained, are set out in our Privacy Policy.

10. Governing law

This disclaimer is governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from it.
